As some of your children may have shared with you this week, this will be my last year teaching at Hall Memorial School. After 12 years here in Willington, I will be leaving to go to the East Hartford School district to an elementary school in the fall.
It is with many emotions that I leave this great school. I have loved my time here, and enjoyed working with all the students and staff. I am filled with many wonderful memories to look back on as I depart on a new professional journey. I will be an instructional coach at my new school. This role allows me to mentor teachers and work closely with the school administration to help achieve the principal's vision and reach the school goals. This is a step on my way to using my newly acquired degree in educational leadership, and my goal of being an assistant principal at an elementary school in a few years. I wish everyone continued success here at HMS! The students continue to impress me with all of their hard work. I was excited to see some many families at STEAM night this past week, and all of the colonial models and science sensory projects on display. We have some amazing kiddos with so many gifts in this grade. Continue to check out my website for upcoming events. I am also trying to send out a few remind messages each week letting you know which handouts to look out for. The current one is a "talent waiver" so the Connecticut Historical Society can take photos when they come next Friday for our colonial visit. Also, during this upcoming week we will be having the soon to be 5th graders visiting on Wednesday, June 6th, and the 5th graders will be helping to get them adjusted. We are still looking for parent volunteers for the Colonial Field day on the afternoon of June 15. Please contact me if you are interested in helping from 12:45-2:30.
