I just heard about this great event happening in our own town related to our colonial unit. If you are around next Saturday, June 10th, check it out!
I can't believe that we are approaching our last week of school. It's been an exciting year filled with tons of learning, and lots of exciting opportunities for our students to take part in. The week of June 5-June 9 is our last FULL week of school. Please check in with your students regarding the finishing of final projects. They have a math performance task, colonial project, persuasive letter to Mr. Craig about chocolate milk, and a second colonial pen pal letter.
Homework should be minimal next week, so this will be a great opportunity for students to get caught up on these larger assignments and projects if necessary. Grades close on Friday, June 9th, and teachers have to submit them on Monday, June 12, so there is no room at this time of year for extensions.
Also, please make note that our colonial field day is also June 9th.
I have been teaching for twelve years, and eleven years in the town of Willington, CT.
