It was great meeting with many parents right before Thanksgiving. My team is lucky to work with such a great group of students and families. The trimester is closing on Wednesday, November 30th, and the parent portal will be closed until Monday, December 5th.
Please contact the particular teacher of the subject if you have further questions regarding a particular assignment or grade. The 5th grade team is really happy with the students' progress thus far this year.

Many parents have expressed concern regarding how to view standards based grades in Powerschool. I have included a file in the post on step by step directions to viewing. Please e-mail me with any further questions.
Gobble gobble. I can't believe that Turkey day is almost here, and the end of the first trimester is looming a week away. Wow, how times flies! The students have accomplished so much learning in the first few months of school!
This week is full of minimum days for the students, and Thursday and Friday there will be no school. There will also be parent-teacher conferences on Monday and Tuesday. This month is filled with wacky weeks, days off, and unusual changes to our schedule. The students just enjoyed a three day week, and now it's back to one normal week. Then we have parent-teacher conferences, and Thanksgiving. By now you should have been contacted by one of the 5th grade teachers if we wanted to schedule a conference with you. Report cards will be available through Powerschool on Monday, December 5th.
This week is an odd week in that students have both Tuesday and Friday off. Students may have some work to complete during their days off. We are coming to the end of the marking period at the end of the month, and students need to complete any missing work over the next few weeks. Also, if you have not already returned the parent-teacher conference form that was sent home last week requesting conferences for some students, please return it by the end of the week. |
