Welcome to 5H
5th grade teacher of math and writing
We had an exciting Friday kicking off our Reading Olympics with our opening ceremonies. Red, blue, and green filled the hallways as students represented their homeroom teams. The positive energy filled the library as students marched in showing off their flags. And then you could have heard a pin drop when students cuddled up with their personal book, and stop, dropped, and read for 45 minutes.
Please promote your students to read at home this month, and talk about their books with them. There a bunch of awards that will be handed out at the end of the month celebrating the many successes. Each class will also get to participate in a reading celebration before April vacation if their class reaches their goal, and each student reaches their personal goal!.
